Reid Ferguson has been a fixture of the Buffalo Bills' special teams unit since signing as an undrafted free agent in 2016. Entering his 10th season, he is now the only player on the roster who predates head coach Sean McDermott's tenure with the club.
Path to the league
Ferguson played college football at LSU from 2012 to 2015. He went unselected in the 2016 NFL Draft but signed with the Buffalo Bills during Rex Ryan's tenure as head coach and won the long-snapping job.
Career highlights
Ferguson has never missed a game in his NFL career, playing in every regular season and playoff contest available to him, including all 17 regular-season games and all three playoff games in 2024. In March 2025, he signed a four-year contract extension that made him one of the highest-paid long snappers in the league by average annual value.

Ferguson played in every game for Buffalo in 2025 as the team's only long snapper on the roster, logging 126 special teams snaps. It marked the first season of his career in which he did not register a special teams tackle in either the regular season or playoffs.
