Jaguars long snapper and 2023 first-team All-Pro who has handled Jacksonville's snaps since 2020.
Ross Matiscik came to the NFL as an undrafted long snapper out of Baylor and won the Jaguars' job as a rookie in 2020. He has been a fixture on special teams since, earning Pro Bowl and All-Pro recognition for his 2023 season. He signed a long-term extension that runs through 2026.
Path to the league
Matiscik was Baylor's primary long snapper for four seasons and also worked as a reserve linebacker for the Bears. Jacksonville signed him as an undrafted free agent on April 26, 2020, and he beat out the incumbent snapper to make the 53-man roster.
Career highlights
Matiscik was named to the Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro for the 2023 season, when he led NFL long snappers in tackles and added a forced fumble and a recovery. He signed a five-year extension with the Jaguars on April 29, 2022 that keeps him in Jacksonville through 2026.
