A two-time UTSA rushing champion who has fought from undrafted free agent to practice squad journeyman in search of a foothold.

Sincere McCormick set UTSA on fire as a college workhorse back before going undrafted in 2022. After years spent battling injury and roster numbers with the Raiders, the Long Beach native landed with the 49ers' practice squad in 2025, hoping to finally carve out a steady NFL role.

Path to the league

McCormick rushed for 3,939 yards and 34 touchdowns on 724 carries across 37 games at UTSA from 2019-21, twice being named Conference USA Offensive Player of the Year. Undrafted in 2022, he signed with the Las Vegas Raiders but spent his entire first season on injured reserve and his second season on the practice squad.

Career highlights

McCormick finally got on the field for the Raiders in 2024, playing in five games with two starts and rushing 39 times for 183 yards, a 4.7-yard average. He caught fire late in the year with 142 yards on 5.3 yards per carry over a two-game stretch before an ankle injury in Week 15 ended his season.

2025 season recap

McCormick was released by the Raiders in August 2025 and signed with the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad later that month. He sits behind Christian McCaffrey and Isaac Guerendo on the depth chart and did not see meaningful regular-season action in 2025.
