Teair Tart carved a winding path from junior college to the NFL, becoming a run-stuffing nose tackle after going undrafted out of Florida International.

Teair Tart's road to the league ran through two junior colleges before he landed at Florida International, and he has since turned himself into a reliable interior run defender across several NFL stops. Now with the Chargers, he remains a disruptive presence against the run in the middle of the defensive line.

Path to the league

Tart played at ASA College and Ellsworth Community College before finishing his college career at Florida International, where he posted 51 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, and six sacks over two seasons. He went undrafted in 2020 and signed with the Tennessee Titans.

2025 season recap

Tart played all 17 games for the Chargers in 2025, and his 12 run stops ranked seventh in the NFL and first on the team. In the Chargers' Wild Card playoff loss to the Patriots, he deflected a pass that led to an interception and recorded his first sack since 2024.
