Tim Patrick's career is a testament to perseverance. After breaking out as a big-bodied red-zone threat in Denver, he lost two full seasons in a row to a torn ACL and then a torn Achilles, injuries that would have ended many careers. Instead, he has continued fighting his way back onto NFL rosters as a trusted veteran receiver.

Path to the league

Patrick played college football at Utah before entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He made the Denver Broncos' practice squad and worked his way onto the active roster, earning his first significant playing time in 2018.

Career highlights

Patrick broke out in 2020 with 51 catches for 742 yards and six touchdowns, prompting Denver to sign him to a three-year, $34.5 million extension. His momentum was derailed by a torn ACL in August 2022 that cost him the entire season, followed by a torn Achilles in July 2023 that wiped out a second consecutive year. He returned to action in 2024, catching 33 passes for 394 yards and three touchdowns.
