Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins overcame a foot injury during his Georgia career to become a valuable rotational defensive lineman on two national championship teams. The Minnesota Vikings drafted him in the fifth round in 2025, and he worked his way into the team's regular defensive line rotation as a rookie.

Path to the league

A South Carolina Mr. Football honoree out of Gaffney, South Carolina, Ingram-Dawkins redshirted his first year at Georgia before appearing in 14 games in 2022. A foot surgery limited his 2023 season, but he earned an expanded role as a junior and was named co-SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week after a strong outing against Kentucky. The Minnesota Vikings selected him in the fifth round, 139th overall, of the 2025 NFL Draft via a trade with the Cleveland Browns.

Career highlights

Ingram-Dawkins won two College Football Playoff national championships at Georgia, in 2021 and 2022. He posted career-best numbers as a senior and turned in one of the top athleticism scores among defensive linemen at the NFL Combine, running a 4.86-second 40-yard dash.

2025 season recap

Ingram-Dawkins appeared in 14 games with one start as a rookie for Minnesota, recording 12 combined tackles, one sack, two tackles for loss, a pass deflection and a forced fumble.
