The NCAA's all-time leading scorer turned into a First-Team All-Pro kicker in just his second NFL season.
Will Reichard arrived in Minnesota as the most decorated kicker in college football history, and he has wasted little time proving that accuracy translates to the pros. Now entering his third NFL season, the Vikings kicker has already set a franchise field-goal record and earned All-Pro recognition for his leg strength and consistency alike.
Path to the league
Reichard starred at Alabama for five seasons, tying and then breaking the NCAA Division I FBS career scoring record during his senior year, first against Auburn in the Iron Bowl and then against Georgia in the SEC Championship. He finished his college career with 547 points, 84 field goals made and 295 extra points, both Alabama records. The Minnesota Vikings selected him in the sixth round (No. 203 overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft, the first kicker taken that year.
Career highlights
At Alabama, Reichard was a third-team All-American, a two-time Lou Groza Award finalist and the SEC Special Teams Player of the Year. In the NFL, he quickly established himself as one of the league's most reliable legs, combining accuracy with the ability to hit from long range.
2025 season recap
Reichard made 33 of 35 field-goal attempts (94.3%) in 2025, including 11 of 13 from 50-plus yards, and went a perfect 31 for 31 on extra points. He set a Vikings franchise record with a 62-yard field goal in a Week 3 win over Cincinnati and became the first kicker in NFL history to make four field goals of 59 yards or longer in a single season. His 93.8 PFF grade ranked second among all qualified kickers, and he was named First-Team All-Pro for the 2025 season.
