Will Sherman has made a career out of sticking around. Since New England drafted him in the sixth round back in 2021, the Colorado product has bounced from the Patriots to the Broncos and now to the Saints, carving out NFL snaps as an interior lineman through sheer persistence.
Path to the league
Sherman played offensive line at Colorado from 2017 to 2020, primarily at tackle, before New England selected him in the sixth round, 197th overall, in the 2021 NFL Draft. At 6-foot-4 and around 300 pounds, he has kicked inside to guard as a pro.
Career highlights
Sherman's career has been defined by resilience rather than a single signature moment. He was waived and re-signed to New England's practice squad as a rookie before being released in 2022, then caught on with the Denver Broncos, where he was repeatedly cut and re-signed to their practice squad before earning an active-roster promotion in January 2023.
