Adams, 25, turned himself in to Durham Regional Police in the eastern Toronto area on Sunday in connection with an investigation by the department's Guns and Gangs Unit, per the report. He has not been convicted of any crime, and his attorney says he expects Adams to be fully exonerated.

According to ESPN, Isaiah Adams faces four charges connected to a guns and gangs investigation by Durham Regional Police in Canada: possessing a weapon by crime, possessing a restricted or prohibited firearm without a license, possessing a loaded firearm and possessing a prohibited device. Police allege the charges arose from an investigation that involved four people in total, per the report. Two of the four were arrested on fentanyl trafficking charges after more than three kilograms were reportedly found in a vehicle; Adams is not among those two and does not face drug charges. His sister, Allyson Mae Adams, 27, faces the same four weapons charges as her brother, according to ESPN. All four were held for a bail hearing, the report said.
