Dak Prescott Irked by Stadium Worker Who Called Cowboys' Loss 'Embarrassing'
A contractor outside the players' exit at AT&T Stadium shouted the word as Prescott walked off after a 24-16 loss to the previously winless Buccaneers. Brian Schottenheimer called it motivating.
Dak Prescott took issue with a stadium worker who yelled "embarrassing" at him in the AT&T Stadium tunnel after Thursday night's 24-16 loss to Tampa Bay. "When he said it, I just happened to look at him, and at that point, he looked away," Prescott said. "Don't cower away from the reaction that you're going to get."
What happened?
The worker, a third-party contractor stationed outside the players' exit from the field, shouted as Prescott headed to the locker room. Prescott said anyone with criticism should "say it to me. Don't go back on it." The team announced no action. Coach Brian Schottenheimer called the remark "motivating" and said, "We believe in what we're doing."
How bad was the loss?
Dallas fell to 2-3 at home against a team that had been 0-4 and was starting an undrafted rookie quarterback. Prescott threw for 316 yards but was intercepted twice on tipped passes, the Cowboys turned it over three times, and Tampa Bay held the ball for more than 39 minutes.
