New York Jets rookie running back Chip Trayanum was taken to a hospital with a neck injury after being tackled by Giants linebacker Trace Ford on the final play of the first half in Friday's 23-6 preseason-finale loss.
What's his current status?
The Jets said Trayanum was "awake, alert, and had movement in all of his extremities" after being carted off the field. Coach Aaron Glenn told reporters afterward, "I think he'll be just fine." No further diagnosis or timeline has been announced.
What had he done in the game?
Trayanum, an undrafted rookie out of Toledo who joined the Jets in May, scored a touchdown and had 12 carries for 38 yards and two catches for 25 yards in the first half before the injury.
