Nashville is set to host Super Bowl LXIV in 2030 as NFL owners prepare to vote
The Music City would host the championship in its first season inside the new $2.1 billion Nissan Stadium.
NFL owners are expected to formally award Super Bowl LXIV to Nashville at the spring league meeting on May 19. The vote, treated as a near-formality by multiple sources, would put the Lombardi on the line at the Titans' new stadium in February 2030.
Why Nashville and why now?
The Titans are opening a $2.1 billion replacement for Nissan Stadium on the East Bank of the Cumberland River in 2027. The new venue will be fully enclosed and seat roughly 60,000 fans. NFL executive Peter O'Reilly visited Nashville earlier this spring for an extended walkthrough alongside Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk and team president Burke Nihill, and the league signaled then that the bid was strong.
Where do Super Bowls LXII and LXIII land?
Super Bowl LXII (February 2028) is set for Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Super Bowl LXIII (February 2029) is scheduled for Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara as part of the 49ers' second Super Bowl hosting cycle. Nashville's LXIV slot in 2030 fills out the league's near-term Super Bowl calendar through the decade.
What would Nashville actually host?
More than a single game. Modern Super Bowl host bids cover a full week of league events including the Super Bowl Experience, opening night, NFL Honors, the Commissioner's Party, and roughly 4,000 hotel rooms blocked off for league business. Nashville's downtown infrastructure (Broadway, the Convention Center, multiple new arena projects) maps directly onto what the league asks of host cities.
Has the city ever hosted before?
Nashville has hosted the NFL Draft (2019) and the Stanley Cup Final (Predators in 2017). Super Bowl LXIV would be the first major championship in any of the four U.S. men's professional leagues held in the city. The Music City Bowl is a regular fixture at the existing Nissan Stadium, but the Super Bowl operates at an entirely different scale.
What does it mean for the Titans?
Tennessee finished 3-14 in 2025 and drew the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 draft (Cam Ward). The franchise has been in a long rebuild and the Super Bowl announcement gives ownership a 2030 storyline beyond the year-to-year roster churn. It also dovetails with the team's broader stadium financing pitch, where new revenue from major events helps service the construction debt.
