Ravens' Trey Hendrickson Has Finger Surgery, Out Against Titans
Hendrickson broke a finger on his right hand in the opener and played two games with it taped. Jesse Minter expects a very short absence. Center Jovaughn Gwyn has a broken leg and could miss two to three months.
Baltimore Ravens edge rusher Trey Hendrickson had surgery Friday on a broken finger on his right hand and will not play Sunday against Tennessee. "We were able to get the finger fixed. We think it will be very, very short term," coach Jesse Minter said.
When was he hurt?
In Week 1. He played the next two games with the finger taped and has one sack and three quarterback hits, with a 17.6 percent pressure rate that is tied for sixth in the league. Baltimore signed him to a four-year, $112 million contract in free agency. Second-round pick Mike Green will see more snaps, and undrafted rookie Ethan Burke is expected to make his debut.
What else is Baltimore dealing with?
Center Jovaughn Gwyn has a broken leg and could be out two to three months, with backup Ethan Pocic also sidelined. Left tackle Ronnie Stanley did not practice Friday because of his toe, though Minter is optimistic he plays.
