A four-year starter on South Carolina's offensive line, Jovaughn Gwyn has carved out a career as a versatile interior lineman capable of playing guard or center.
Jovaughn Gwyn spent his college career anchoring South Carolina's line at right guard before beginning his NFL journey as a seventh-round pick in Atlanta. After several seasons developing behind Falcons starters, he now brings his interior-line versatility to Baltimore's offensive front.
Path to the league
Gwyn, a four-star recruit out of Charlotte, North Carolina, started 46 of 48 games across his college career at South Carolina, primarily at right guard. He earned Second-team All-SEC honors as a senior in 2022. The Falcons selected him in the seventh round, 225th overall, in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Career highlights
Gwyn appeared in 19 games for Atlanta from 2023-2025 without a start, cycling between the active roster and practice squad as he developed his technique at guard and center. His ability to play multiple interior spots has kept him in the league as a depth option.
2025 season recap
Atlanta waived Gwyn in late November 2024 before re-signing him to the practice squad and a reserve/future contract in January 2025; he played a limited 11 offensive snaps for the Falcons in the 2025 season. He signed a one-year deal with the Ravens in March 2026, giving him a fresh chance to compete for a larger role.
