Path to the league

Okwuegbunam caught 98 passes for 1,187 yards and 23 touchdowns across three seasons at Missouri, earning second-team All-SEC honors and John Mackey Award finalist recognition in 2018. The Denver Broncos drafted him in the fourth round (No. 118 overall) in 2020, reuniting him with his college quarterback Drew Lock.

Career highlights

Okwuegbunam appeared in 19 games across three seasons in Denver, catching 20 passes for 202 yards and four touchdowns. He was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles ahead of the 2023 season before continuing his journey through Indianapolis and eventually Las Vegas.

2025 season recap

After the Eagles released him in November 2024, Okwuegbunam signed with the Colts' practice squad that December before being let go in July 2025. He signed with the Raiders in August 2025, working to carve out a role in a crowded Las Vegas tight end group.
