Giants left tackle and 2022 second-team All-Pro now managing a lingering Lisfranc recovery into 2026.
Andrew Thomas signed the largest offensive-line contract in NFL history when he extended in July 2023 (five years, $117.5 million with $67 million guaranteed). The next two seasons brought injuries that limited him to a partial 2024 and the first two games of 2025. Health is the single biggest variable for the Giants' offensive line entering John Harbaugh's first season.
Path to the league
Georgia Bulldog taken 4th overall by the Giants in 2020. After two uneven first seasons, Thomas posted a dominant 2022 (second-team All-Pro, Pro Bowl) that established him as a top-five NFL tackle. His 2023 was abbreviated by a hamstring injury.
2024-2025 status
Thomas underwent successful Lisfranc surgery on October 15, 2024 after the Week 6 injury against Cincinnati, ending his season. He returned in 2025 but missed the first two games and dealt with a lingering shoulder issue throughout. The Giants restructured his contract before 2025 to create $12.2 million in cap space, a vote of confidence despite the injury record.
