Anthony Belton

Offensive Tackle · NC State

Nicknamed "Big Escalade" for his massive frame, Anthony Belton has bounced across the Green Bay offensive line as the Packers find his best fit up front.

Anthony Belton came out of NC State as a road-grading left tackle, but Green Bay has used the second-round pick all over its offensive line as a rookie. At 6-foot-6 and roughly 335 pounds, he gives the Packers rare size and length to work with as they settle their front five.

2025 NFL Draft second-round pick (No. 54 overall)
2023 third-team All-ACC
First NC State offensive lineman ever drafted by the Packers

Path to the league

Belton played four seasons at NC State after beginning his college path at Georgia Military College, starting 32 of his 40 games at left tackle for the Wolfpack, including all 24 games he played over his final two seasons. Green Bay selected him in the second round, 54th overall, of the 2025 NFL Draft, the first offensive lineman from NC State the franchise has ever drafted.

Career highlights

Belton earned third-team All-ACC honors in 2023 after tying for the team lead with 51 pancake blocks, and he never allowed more than three sacks in any of his final three college seasons. His combination of size and athleticism at the Senior Bowl caught the eye of Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst, who pushed to draft him.

2025 season recap

Green Bay moved Belton around the offensive line as a rookie rather than plugging him straight into his college position, giving him snaps at right tackle early in the season before shifting him to left tackle and eventually right guard. He started the final six games of the regular season at right guard and also started the Packers' playoff game.
