Beau Brade is a safety for the New York Giants who has had to fight for his roster spot since going unselected in the 2024 NFL Draft. He was a college teammate of Giants cornerback Deonte Banks at Maryland, a connection that helped put him on New York's radar.
Path to the league
Brade finished his Maryland career with 177 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss and three interceptions before declaring for the 2024 draft. He went undrafted and signed with the Baltimore Ravens, who had passed on him in the draft, as an undrafted free agent. Giants general manager Joe Schoen later noted the team had scouted Brade closely coming out of college.
