Bernhard Raimann has quietly developed into a foundational piece of the Indianapolis Colts' offensive line since arriving from Central Michigan in 2022. A native of Steinbrunn, Austria, his path from tight end to franchise left tackle is one of the more unusual development stories on the roster, and the Colts rewarded it with a nine-figure extension.
Path to the league
Raimann played two seasons at tight end for Central Michigan before converting to offensive tackle. He earned Pro Football Focus's Offensive Player of the Year honors for the Mid-American Conference and second-team All-American recognition in 2021.
