Jalen Travis spent four seasons in the Ivy League at Princeton before a graduate transfer season at Iowa State turned him into a fourth-round pick. He closed his rookie year as the Colts' starting right tackle and enters 2026 as the presumptive full-time starter.
Path to the league
Indianapolis drafted Travis in the fourth round (127th overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft, making him the first Iowa State offensive lineman drafted since 2013. At 6-foot-7 and 339 pounds with a 9.91 Relative Athletic Score, he ranks among the best-testing tackles measured since 1987.
Career highlights
After four seasons at Princeton, Travis transferred to Iowa State for his final year of eligibility in 2024 and helped the Cyclones to an 11-3 record, the best season in program history. He earned All-Big 12 honorable mention honors despite missing the season's first two games with injury.
2025 season recap
Travis played in all 17 games as a rookie but started only four, stepping in at right tackle for Weeks 15-18 after veteran Braden Smith landed on injured reserve. He played the full complement of snaps in three of those four starts and earned a 72.2 PFF grade, ranking 33rd among qualified tackles.
