Blake Corum arrived in Los Angeles as a third-round pick out of Michigan carrying a national championship pedigree and a reputation as a bruising, high-volume college back. Two years into his NFL career he has carved out a real role, taking on a bigger share of the workload as the 2025 season wore on.

Path to the league

Corum starred at Michigan for five seasons, becoming the program's all-time leading scorer and setting the school record for career rushing touchdowns with 58. He was named Big Ten Running Back of the Year for 2023 and was MVP of the College Football Playoff National Championship after rushing for 134 yards and two touchdowns in Michigan's win over Washington. The Rams selected him in the third round (83rd overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Career highlights

As a Wolverine, Corum piled up 258 carries for 1,245 yards and a school-record 27 touchdowns in his final season while helping Michigan win a national title. In the NFL he has steadily earned more touches out of the Rams backfield, pairing with Kyren Williams as a change-of-pace and short-yardage option.

2025 season recap

Corum played in all 17 regular-season games and rushed 145 times for 746 yards and six touchdowns, averaging 5.1 yards per carry. His workload grew significantly down the stretch, with 405 rushing yards and five touchdowns over the final six games of the season. His run-blocking and efficiency numbers graded among the better backs in the league by season's end.
