Brady Christensen arrived in Carolina as a highly decorated left tackle out of BYU, where he posted one of the best offensive line grades in college football history. His NFL career has been defined by resilience, moving from left tackle to left guard and fighting back from a broken ankle, a torn biceps, and a torn Achilles to keep his roster spot with the Panthers.
Path to the league
Christensen was a three-year starter at left tackle for BYU, blocking for future second overall pick Zach Wilson. In 2020 he earned consensus All-American honors and posted what was reported as PFF's highest-recorded grade for an offensive lineman at the time, becoming the first BYU offensive lineman drafted since 2005. Carolina traded up to select him in the third round (70th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Career highlights
Christensen shifted to left guard as a pro, starting all 17 games in 2022 and helping the Panthers' offensive line improve from 28th to 11th in the NFL in sacks allowed that season. 2025 season recap
Christensen made eight appearances with four starts in 2025 before suffering a torn Achilles tendon in Week 8 against Buffalo, ending his season on injured reserve. He returned to Carolina on a one-year deal in 2026 as he works his way back.
