Brandon Allen is a veteran backup quarterback who signed with the New York Giants in 2026 after a long career at Arkansas and several NFL stops.

Allen was a durable multi-year starter at Arkansas before becoming a well-traveled NFL backup. The Giants signed him in April 2026 to add depth behind Jaxson Dart and Jameis Winston. He is valued for his football IQ and familiarity with the coaching staff.

Path to the league

Allen made 38 career starts at Arkansas, including his final 34 games, the longest such streak for a Razorbacks quarterback since the program joined the SEC in 1992. He finished second in school history in completions and attempts. He has spent NFL time with Jacksonville, the Rams, Denver, Cincinnati, San Francisco and Tennessee.

2025 season

Allen was a member of the Tennessee Titans in 2025. The Giants signed him in April 2026, where he became the third quarterback behind starter Jaxson Dart and Jameis Winston, per the team. He has prior experience working with Giants coordinator Brian Callahan.
