Jaxson Dart

Quarterback · Ole Miss

The Giants' first-round quarterback who became just the third Ole Miss passer taken in round one, joining Archie and Eli Manning.

Jaxson Dart arrived in New York as the centerpiece of the Giants' 2025 draft class, a Utah native who rewrote Ole Miss's passing record book after transferring from USC. He took over as the Giants' starter in Week 4 of his rookie season and immediately showed the dual-threat ability that made him a first-round pick.

★ First-round pick, 2025 NFL Draft (No. 25 overall)
★ One of only three Ole Miss quarterbacks ever drafted in round one, alongside Archie and Eli Manning
★ Ole Miss's all-time career passing yards leader
★ Became Giants' Week 4 starter as a rookie

Path to the league

Dart began his college career at USC in 2021 before transferring to Ole Miss, where he started 38 games from 2022 to 2024, led the Rebels to back-to-back 10-win seasons and a 2023 Peach Bowl win, and finished as the program's all-time passing yards leader, surpassing Eli Manning. The Giants traded up to select him 25th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, making him only the third Ole Miss quarterback taken in the first round after Archie Manning (1971) and Eli Manning (2004).

Career highlights

At Ole Miss, Dart posted a career-best 180.7 passer rating in his final season and became the program's all-time leader in passing yards. He signed a four-year, $17 million rookie contract with the Giants after being drafted 25th overall in 2025.

2025 season recap

Dart opened his rookie year as Russell Wilson's backup before winning the starting job in Week 4. Through 12 starts he threw for 2,272 yards with 15 touchdowns and 5 interceptions, added 9 rushing touchdowns, and went 4-8 as the Giants' starter.
