A third-round Penn State tackle who has spent two seasons fighting for a foothold on New England's offensive line.
Caedan Wallace was drafted to add tackle depth and eventually take over a starting job for the Patriots, but injuries and a crowded depth chart have kept him in a reserve role through his first two pro seasons. He remains a versatile piece up front, capable of playing tackle or sliding inside.
Path to the league
Wallace started 40 games at right tackle over five seasons at Penn State, capped by a 2023 season in which he allowed just one sack on 359 pass-blocking snaps and earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors. The New England Patriots selected him in the third round (No. 68 overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Career highlights
Wallace made his first career start in Week 3 of his rookie season but was sidelined by an injury that landed him on injured reserve in early October 2024. He returned late in the year and finished his rookie season having appeared in six games with two starts.
2025 season recap
Wallace was a healthy inactive for New England's first 12 games of 2025 before making his season debut against the Giants on December 1, primarily on field-goal and extra-point units. He saw his first offensive snaps of the year at left guard in the regular-season finale against the Jets and finished with a 72.9 PFF grade. He remained a healthy scratch through New England's playoff run to Super Bowl LX.
