Carrington Valentine has outplayed his seventh-round draft slot since joining the Packers in 2023, stepping into significant starting reps whenever the secondary has needed him. A Cincinnati native, he has parlayed opportunistic playmaking into one of the more productive Day 3 finds on Green Bay's roster.
Path to the league
Valentine started two seasons at Kentucky, finishing with 117 tackles and 16 pass breakups across 35 games, including a career-high 11 passes defensed and his lone interception in 2022. The Packers selected him in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 232nd overall.
Career highlights
Valentine broke out in 2024, appearing in 15 games with seven starts and recording 30 tackles, five pass breakups, a career-high two interceptions and two forced fumbles, taking over as a starter down the stretch when Jaire Alexander was sidelined. His interceptions that year came against the Seahawks and Vikings.
