Chimere Dike went from a solid but unspectacular receiver at Wisconsin and Florida to a bona fide NFL weapon as a rookie in Tennessee. Splitting time between receiver and both return jobs, he put together a historic 2025 season that earned him All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors, a rare feat for a first-year player.

Path to the league

A Waukesha, Wisconsin native, Dike played four seasons at Wisconsin before transferring to Florida for his final year in 2024, where he led the Gators in receptions. The Titans selected him with the 103rd overall pick in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft and immediately named him their starting punt and kick returner.

Career highlights

Dike's best college season came at Florida in 2024, where he caught 42 passes for a career-high 783 yards and two touchdowns while also averaging a league-leading 16.5 yards per punt return in SEC play. That return skill became the foundation for his NFL role.

2025 season recap

Dike had a historic rookie season, totaling 2,427 all-purpose yards, an NFL rookie record that broke Tim Brown's mark set in 1988 and the most by any player since Darren Sproles in 2011. He finished with 48 receptions for 423 yards and four touchdowns, 1,588 kickoff return yards and 398 punt return yards with two return touchdowns. He earned AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors in Week 5, was named first-team All-Pro as a punt returner, and made the Pro Bowl.
