Miami's all-time leader in catches, yards and touchdowns went undrafted, then reunited with his old quarterback Cam Ward in Tennessee.

Xavier Restrepo spent five seasons turning himself into the most productive receiver in Miami Hurricanes history, but a slow 40-yard dash time pushed him out of the 2025 draft entirely. He signed with the Titans as an undrafted free agent to team back up with former Miami quarterback Cam Ward and is now fighting for a foothold on the active roster.

Path to the league

Restrepo played five years at Miami from 2020 to 2024, developing from a fringe contributor into the Hurricanes' top target. Despite a decorated college resume, he went undrafted in 2025 after running 40-yard dash times in the 4.8-second range at his pro day, and signed with Tennessee as a free agent.

Career highlights

Restrepo finished his Miami career as the program's all-time leader in receptions (200), receiving yards (2,844) and receiving touchdowns (21). His senior season in 2024 was his best, with 69 catches for 1,127 yards and 11 touchdowns, and he was a consensus first-team All-America selection and a Biletnikoff Award semifinalist.

2025 season recap

Restrepo was cut in Tennessee's initial roster trims but spent most of the year on the practice squad before being elevated to the active roster on November 22. He made his NFL debut the next day and finished his rookie season with three catches for 41 yards before signing a reserve/future contract in January 2026.
