A three-school college starter who threw for over 12,000 career yards before breaking into the NFL as an undrafted Buccaneer.

Connor Bazelak is a quarterback who started games at Missouri, Indiana and Bowling Green across a well-traveled college career before signing with Tampa Bay as an undrafted free agent in 2025. After a strong final season at Bowling Green, he worked his way from the practice squad onto Tampa Bay's active roster late in the year.

Path to the league

Bazelak was born in Dayton, Ohio, and starred at Archbishop Alter High School before committing to Missouri. He tore his ACL as a true freshman in 2019, then won SEC co-Freshman of the Year in 2020 after throwing for 2,366 yards. He transferred to Indiana in 2022 and then to Bowling Green in 2023, before going undrafted in 2025 and signing with the Buccaneers.

Career highlights

Bazelak finished his college career with 1,151 completions for 12,349 yards, 66 touchdowns and 39 interceptions across 58 games. At Bowling Green in 2024, he completed 269 of 402 passes for 3,044 yards and 18 touchdowns, earned third-team All-MAC honors, and became just the 41st FBS player to reach 1,000 career completions.

2025 season recap

Bazelak signed with Tampa Bay as an undrafted free agent, was waived in final cuts, and spent much of the year on the practice squad before being promoted to the active roster for Week 13 against Arizona. He re-signed with the Buccaneers in March 2026, continuing his development behind the team's veteran quarterbacks.
