Arkansas State and the Sun Belt's all-time leading receiver is chasing a roster spot with the Raiders.
Corey Rucker put together one of the most productive careers in Sun Belt Conference history after transferring twice, finishing as Arkansas State's all-time leading receiver. He went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft but landed one of the largest UDFA contracts on the Las Vegas Raiders' roster.
Path to the league
A three-star recruit out of Yazoo County High School in Mississippi, Rucker began his college career at Arkansas State, broke out as a sophomore, then transferred to South Carolina for a brief stint before returning to Arkansas State to finish his eligibility. He went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft and signed with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Career highlights
Rucker became Arkansas State's and the Sun Belt Conference's all-time leader in receiving yards, topping 4,000 yards for his career. As a freshman in 2020 he averaged 28.3 yards per catch with 16 receptions for 453 yards and 5 touchdowns, and as a sophomore in 2021 he posted 60 catches for 837 yards and 9 touchdowns.
2025 season recap
Rucker wrapped up his collegiate career in 2023 back at Arkansas State after a short detour to South Carolina, recording 31 catches for 598 yards across 12 games in his final Red Wolves season. He went unselected in the 2026 draft and signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent, entering training camp with a chance to make the 53-man roster.
