Daijahn Anthony

Safety · Ole Miss

A former zero-star recruit who worked his way from Liberty to Ole Miss to a seventh-round NFL selection with Cincinnati.

Daijahn Anthony's football journey started far from the spotlight before he became a ballhawking safety at Liberty and Ole Miss. The Bengals took him in the seventh round of the 2024 draft, and he has since worked to establish himself as a special-teams and depth secondary piece in Cincinnati.

Path to the league

Anthony played two seasons at Liberty from 2021 to 2022, recording three interceptions including one against Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson, before transferring to Ole Miss for his final college season in 2023. There he racked up 61 tackles, eight pass deflections and three interceptions in the SEC. Cincinnati selected him with the 224th overall pick in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL draft.

Career highlights

Anthony's rookie season in 2024 was limited to seven tackles and one pass deflection, with most of his snaps coming on special teams. He drew national attention in Week 2 of that season when a defensive pass interference call against him helped Kansas City escape with a narrow win over the Bengals.

2025 season recap

Anthony opened the 2025 season on injured reserve with a hamstring injury and was activated in time for Cincinnati's Week 13 game against Baltimore, working back into a special-teams and rotational secondary role for the rest of the year.
