Darrick Forrest built his reputation as a hard-hitting safety at Cincinnati before Washington drafted him in 2021. Since then he has bounced through the Bills, Colts and Steelers before landing with San Francisco, where he is currently working back from injury.
Path to the league
Forrest was a three-year starter at Cincinnati from 2017 to 2020, racking up 200 tackles, 12 pass breakups and six interceptions over 36 career starts and earning All-AAC recognition. Washington selected him in the fifth round (163rd overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft.
