A 6'3" contested-catch specialist who broke out over back-to-back 60-catch, double-digit touchdown seasons at Washington, Denzel Boston arrives in Cleveland as a second-round pick with a first-round grade on some boards.
Denzel Boston developed into one of the Big Ten's top receivers over four years at Washington, pairing size and red-zone reliability with surprise juice as a punt returner. The Browns took him 39th overall in the 2026 draft, with the front office noting several teams had him graded in the first round.
Path to the league
A Puyallup, Washington native out of Emerald Ridge High School, Boston developed slowly at Washington, managing just seven catches combined over his first two seasons before a breakout junior year. The Browns selected him in the second round, 39th overall, in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Boston's 2024 season produced 63 catches for 834 yards and nine touchdowns, earning honorable mention All-Big Ten honors. 2025 season recap
In his final season at Washington, Boston caught 62 passes for 881 yards and a career-high 11 touchdowns, cementing himself as a big-bodied, contested-catch weapon who is especially tough to cover inside the red zone.
