Path to the league

A Cartersville, Georgia native who was named his high school's Daily Tribune Player of the Year, Ross signed with Kentucky out of high school before ultimately enrolling at Troy in 2022. After a breakout 2024 season, he transferred to Penn State for 2025. He went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft and signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as a free agent on April 25, 2026.

Career highlights

Ross set Troy's school record for receiving yards in a single game with 229 yards and earned First-team All-Sun Belt honors in 2024 after catching 76 passes for 1,043 yards and 11 touchdowns. Measuring 5-foot-9 and 162 pounds, he posted the fastest 40-yard dash time of any Nittany Lion at 4.45 seconds.

2025 season recap

In his lone season at Penn State, Ross battled an early injury and split slot-receiver reps with Liam Clifford before finishing with 36 receptions for 501 yards and 5 touchdowns. He went undrafted afterward and signed with the Chargers, where his speed gives him a path onto the roster as a returner or depth receiver.
