Divine Deablo converted from safety to linebacker after the Raiders drafted him in the third round in 2021, and after four productive years in Las Vegas he signed with a new team in 2025, immediately becoming a defensive anchor.

Path to the league

Deablo played safety at Virginia Tech before the Las Vegas Raiders drafted him 80th overall in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft and moved him to linebacker. He started 42 of 54 games across his four seasons in Las Vegas, totaling 288 tackles, six pass defenses and two sacks, with his best season coming in 2023 when he posted a career-high 106 tackles.

Deablo left the Raiders in 2025 free agency on a two-year deal worth $14 million. He has established himself as a physical, high-tackle-volume linebacker capable of playing on early downs and covering tight ends and backs.

2025 season recap

In his first season with his new team, Deablo appeared in 13 games due to a forearm injury but still finished fourth on the roster in tackles with 73, adding one sack and seven passes defensed. The defense notably performed better with him on the field, allowing over eight fewer points per game when he was active.
