A Grey Cup champion who spent two seasons starring in the CFL before finally landing an NFL contract with the Bengals.
Dohnte Meyers took the long way to the NFL, going undrafted out of Delta State in 2023, then building a résumé in the Canadian Football League with the Saskatchewan Roughriders that included a Grey Cup championship. Cincinnati signed him in January 2026, giving the well-traveled receiver his first real shot at an NFL roster spot.
Path to the league
Meyers began his college career at Presbyterian from 2018 to 2019 before transferring to Delta State, where he played from 2020 to 2022. He went undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft and, after a brief rookie minicamp look from the Atlanta Falcons, signed with the CFL's Saskatchewan Roughriders that October.
Career highlights
Meyers put up 120 receptions for 1,542 yards and 13 touchdowns across three seasons at Delta State, earning first-team All-Gulf South Conference honors as a senior. In the CFL, he developed into a featured target for Saskatchewan, totaling 89 receptions for 1,405 yards and nine touchdowns over two seasons, and was part of the Roughriders' Grey Cup championship team in 2025, earning CFL West All-Star honors.
