Dominic Lovett brings legitimate 4.4 speed and two years of SEC starting experience to Detroit's receiver room. The Lions used a seventh-round pick on him in 2025, making him the first Georgia wide receiver the franchise has ever drafted.
Path to the league
Lovett began his college career at Missouri, where he earned first-team All-SEC honors as a sophomore in 2022 with 56 catches for 846 yards. He transferred to Georgia for his final two seasons, starting alongside the Bulldogs' national title contenders before Detroit drafted him 244th overall in 2025.
Career highlights
Over two seasons at Georgia, Lovett caught 113 passes for 1,220 yards and 10 touchdowns across 28 games, mostly working out of the slot. Combined with his Missouri production, he finished his college career with well over 1,600 receiving yards and multiple all-conference recognitions.
