Edefuan Ulofoshio's college career was defined as much by perseverance as production, missing 14 straight games to injury before returning to captain Washington's 2023 Pac-12 championship team. He's since bounced from Buffalo to Cleveland, carving out a role as a reserve linebacker and special teamer.

Path to the league

Ulofoshio grew up in Anchorage, Alaska before his family moved to Las Vegas, and he walked on at Washington. After breaking out with a Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week performance in 2019, he missed 14 consecutive games across the 2021 and 2022 seasons with an arm injury and a torn ACL. He returned as team captain in 2023 and was picked by the Buffalo Bills in the fifth round, 160th overall, in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Career highlights

In his final college season, Ulofoshio recorded his first career pick-six and helped Washington beat Oregon in the Pac-12 Championship Game en route to the College Football Playoff. He earned first-team All-Pac-12 and second-team All-American honors that year, along with Butkus Award semifinalist recognition.

2025 season recap

Ulofoshio was released by Buffalo in late August 2025 and quickly signed to the Cleveland Browns' practice squad. He spent much of the season developing on the practice squad before being promoted to the Browns' active roster on January 3, 2026, giving him a foothold as a depth linebacker heading into 2026.
