Elliott Davison is a safety for the New Orleans Saints who worked his way up through the transfer portal, moving from the University of the Incarnate Word to UTSA before signing with New Orleans as an undrafted free agent in 2025. A physical tackler with two seasons of starting experience at the FBS level, Davison is competing for a spot in the Saints' secondary.
Path to the league
A product of Robert E. Lee High School, Davison began his college career at the University of the Incarnate Word before transferring to UTSA, where he started in both the 2023 and 2024 seasons. He went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft and signed with New Orleans shortly after.
Career highlights
In his first season at UTSA in 2023, Davison played all 13 games and recorded 40 tackles, two interceptions and three passes defensed. He followed that up in 2024 with 58 tackles and four pass breakups while starting all 13 games, helping the Roadrunners to a 7-6 record and a Myrtle Beach Bowl win over Coastal Carolina.
2025 season recap
Davison earned a spot on the Saints' practice squad after an active training camp and preseason as a rookie, working to develop his game behind New Orleans' veteran safeties.
