Erick Hallett II spent his first two-plus NFL seasons on practice squads after a decorated four-year run at Pittsburgh, but he broke through with the Detroit Lions in October 2025 before Tennessee added him to its secondary in December.
Path to the league
Hallett played four seasons at Pittsburgh from 2019 to 2022, steadily improving each year and capping his career with a second-team All-ACC season in 2022 that included 54 tackles, nine pass breakups and a Jim Thorpe Award semifinalist nod. He was also an honorable mention All-ACC pick in 2021 after intercepting three passes. The Jacksonville Jaguars drafted him in the sixth round, 208th overall, in 2023.
