Evan Brown's NFL story is a classic journeyman's path: bounced among four teams as a reserve before finally locking down a starting role in Detroit, then continuing that starting-caliber run through stops in Seattle and now Houston.
Path to the league
Brown started 27 games at center for SMU along with a full season at guard, but he went unselected in the 2018 NFL Draft and signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent.
Career highlights
After reserve stints with the Giants, Dolphins and Browns, Brown broke through as a starter with Detroit in 2021, starting 12 games at center and logging 755 snaps at the position.
