An LSU road-grader who has quietly become one of the league's better run-blocking guards.
Ed Ingram built his reputation as a physical, run-first guard at LSU and has carried that identity into the pros. After starting his career in Minnesota, he has settled in as an every-down starter known for winning the line of scrimmage on the ground.
Path to the league
The Minnesota Vikings selected Ingram in the second round (59th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft out of LSU, where he was a three-year starter on the offensive line. Listed at 6-foot-4 and 320 pounds, he was known coming out as a powerful run blocker.
Career highlights
Ingram started 41 of 48 regular-season games across his three years with the Vikings, including a Wild Card playoff start as a rookie. He was traded to Houston in March 2025 for a 2026 draft pick and went on to sign a three-year, $37.5 million contract extension with the Texans.
2025 season recap
Ingram started the majority of the season at right guard for Houston, taking 929 offensive snaps across 14 starts. He earned a 71.5 overall PFF grade, ranking 18th among qualified guards, with his run-blocking grade of 75.6 placing 8th at the position while his pass protection remained a work in progress.
