Harold Landry III made his name leading the nation in sacks at Boston College before a long run with the Tennessee Titans. He signed with the Patriots in 2025 and quickly became one of their most reliable defenders. He was named a team captain in his first season in New England.

Path to the league

Landry played four seasons at Boston College from 2014 to 2017, appearing in 46 games and racking up 26 sacks, 10 forced fumbles and 160 tackles. He set the school's single-season record with 16.5 sacks as a junior in 2016, leading the nation and earning AP and All-ACC first-team honors.

2025 season

On March 12, 2025, Landry signed a three-year, $43.5 million contract with the New England Patriots. He was one of the team's most productive edge rushers, recording 49 total tackles, 8.5 sacks and one forced fumble across 15 regular-season games, and he was named one of six team captains.

Career highlights

Landry was bothered by a knee injury in the 2025 playoffs and missed the AFC Championship Game against Denver, but he returned to play in the Super Bowl against Seattle. He holds Boston College's single-season sack record.
