Jack Jones's route to the NFL ran through USC, a junior college stopover, and a breakout finish at Arizona State before a fourth-round selection by the Patriots. After stints in New England, Las Vegas and Miami, he starred in a career-high 2025 season that landed him a new deal in 2026.
Path to the league
Jones began his college career at USC, left after two seasons, spent a year at Moorpark College, and finished at Arizona State, where he intercepted three passes, including one returned for a touchdown, in 2021 and earned honorable mention All-Pac-12 honors. The New England Patriots drafted him 121st overall in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Career highlights
Jones was briefly suspended by the Patriots in January 2023 before being reinstated days later, and he went on to become a starting-caliber corner known for his ball skills. He has since played for the Las Vegas Raiders and the Miami Dolphins, developing a reputation as a physical, turnover-producing defensive back.
