Upton Stout is a cornerback for the San Francisco 49ers who was selected in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft after a five-year college career at North Texas and Western Kentucky. Despite standing just 5-foot-9, he quickly became San Francisco's primary nickel corner as a rookie.
Path to the league
Stout was drafted with the 100th overall pick by San Francisco in 2025 after earning first-team All-Conference USA honors at Western Kentucky in 2024, when he recorded 52 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, a sack and an interception across 12 starts. At the combine he posted a 4.44-second 40-yard dash and 21 reps on the bench press.
