A Jacksonville native who battled back from a torn ACL at Florida, broke out as a Gators starter in 2024, then transferred to LSU before signing with Tampa Bay as an undrafted rookie.
Jack Pyburn brings a physical, run-defending edge presence to the Buccaneers after a college career split between Florida and LSU. The Bolles School product overcame a season-ending knee injury to become a full-time starter, and his move to LSU for his final season only reinforced what NFL evaluators already believed about his motor and technique.
Path to the league
Pyburn, a three-star recruit out of The Bolles School in Jacksonville, signed with Florida and spent three seasons with the Gators before transferring to LSU for 2025. He went unselected in the 2026 NFL Draft and signed with Tampa Bay as an undrafted free agent on May 8, 2026.
Career highlights
After a torn ACL ended his 2023 season at Florida after eight games, Pyburn returned in 2024 to take over as the Gators' starting outside linebacker following their first bye week, starting the final eight games and recording 60 tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack and an interception. He transferred to LSU for his final college season in search of a clearer path to a starting role.

Pyburn started on LSU's defensive line in 2025 after transferring from Florida, closing out his college career as a rotational and run-stopping presence up front.
