Path to the league

Rizy was a no-star recruit out of Staples High School in Westport, Connecticut, where he captained both the football and wrestling teams. He walked into a starting job at Harvard, playing from 2020 to 2023 after redshirting in 2021, then transferred to Florida State for the 2024 and 2025 seasons, choosing the Seminoles over Northwestern and other suitors.

Career highlights

Rizy earned All-Ivy League recognition in back-to-back seasons at Harvard, establishing himself as one of the conference's steadier offensive linemen before making the jump to ACC competition at Florida State. His versatility along the line, capable of playing tackle or guard, made him a notable name among the Seminoles' 2025 front five.

2025 season recap

Rizy closed out his college career at Florida State in 2025 after two seasons with the program. He went unselected in the 2026 NFL Draft and signed with the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent.
