Javon Solomon spent five seasons terrorizing Sun Belt quarterbacks at Troy, piling up sack totals that made him one of the most productive pass rushers in the country. Buffalo drafted him to add depth and speed off the edge, and he has settled into a specialist role mixing pass-rush snaps with heavy special-teams work.

Path to the league

Solomon played five seasons at Troy from 2019 to 2023, totaling 32.5 sacks, 183 tackles, and five forced fumbles across 53 games. He earned first-team All-Sun Belt honors in both 2021 and 2023 and was recognized as an All-American in his final season. Buffalo selected him in the fifth round, 168th overall, in the 2024 NFL Draft.
