A Stanford-to-Tennessee defensive tackle transfer who battled through an early-season injury before signing with the Rams.
Jaxson Moi began his college career at Stanford before transferring to Tennessee, where he started at defensive tackle in a rugged SEC front. His final college season was interrupted by injury just three plays into the opener, but he fought back onto the field before heading into the NFL as a rookie with the Los Angeles Rams.
Path to the league
A three-star recruit out of Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego, Moi helped his high school win a CIF 1-AA state championship as a senior. He spent his first two college seasons at Stanford, recording 37 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and a sack, before transferring to Tennessee in the 2024 offseason. He signed with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent following the 2026 NFL Draft.
Career highlights
In his first season at Tennessee, Moi played 246 snaps at defensive tackle and recorded eight tackles and two sacks, establishing himself in the Volunteers' interior rotation after arriving from Stanford. His combination of size at 6-foot-2, 305 pounds and disruptive ability made him a valued piece of Tennessee's defensive front.
2025 season recap
Moi was named a starter for Tennessee heading into 2025 but suffered an injury on just the third play of the season opener against Syracuse and did not return that game. He worked his way back onto the field later in the season before entering the 2026 NFL Draft, ultimately signing with the Rams as an undrafted rookie.
