A three-time FCS national champion at North Dakota State who took the long way through the CFL and UFL before landing a cornerback job with New Orleans.
Jayden Price is a cornerback for New Orleans whose path to the NFL ran through the CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the UFL's Arlington Renegades after going undrafted out of North Dakota State. The Kansas native won three national titles in Fargo and brought that championship pedigree into a pro career built on persistence.
Path to the league
Price grew up in Derby, Kansas, and attended Mulvane High School before enrolling at North Dakota State, where he played from 2018 to 2023. He went undrafted in 2024 and signed with the Atlanta Falcons, but was released in final roster cuts that August.
Career highlights
Over 71 games at North Dakota State, Price recorded 107 tackles, 17 passes defended and three interceptions while helping the Bison win FCS national championships in 2018, 2019 and 2021. He also doubled as a punt returner, earning second-team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference honors as a return specialist, and later ranked second in the UFL in punt return yards during the 2025 season with the Arlington Renegades.
2025 season recap
After Atlanta, Price had brief stops with the CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Birmingham Stallions before being traded to the Arlington Renegades, where he played cornerback and handled return duties across ten UFL games. The New Orleans Saints signed him to their active roster on June 20, 2025, giving him his first extended NFL opportunity.
